Boarding and Daycare

Kennels

We have heated and air-conditioned facilities to board dogs and cats (and other pets upon request).

Our daily rates are:
Dogs ---------------$17.00 per day***
Cats --------------- $12.00 per day
Prices subject to change with notice

Drop-off after 5:00PM or pick-up before 10:00AM
(during our normal business hours)
will only be charged half the daily rate.

We happily accept ALL breeds of dogs!

Please note: There is no discount for boarding your dogs in the same kennel run. You are paying for the dog's care, not the space. It is actually harder for us to properly care for your dogs if they are boarded in the same run. If they have any issues at all (diarrhea or not eating due to stress, become sick, etc), we have no way of knowing which dog is having the issue, therefore we cannot effectively address the problem.

***The above price includes the dog's private indoor/outdoor run, food, bedding, toys, and unsupervised playtime in our big fenced-in yards. Because we feed a Super Premium Dog food (Precise Foundation), which includes probiotics, to the dogs while staying with us in the kennel, it is not necessary for you to bring your own food. We add water and a little canned food to our kibble. We have been feeding our own food for decades and have found this process to be what is best for most dogs. Boarding can be a stressful experience (good or bad) on a dog and being fed a high quality food will make this process easier on them. We have experienced far less digestive issues if the dogs boarding with us eat our food. They are also more likely to enjoy something new and different during their stay.

If you choose to bring your dog's own food for us to feed, there will be an additional charge per day. This additional charge covers the added time it takes to prepare your dog's food in addition to the rest of the dogs staying with us.

Additional boarding charges: Unsupervised Playtime in our (6 ft) fenced-in yards is available free of charge. Supervised Playtime in our (6 ft) fenced-in yards: $3.00 per 15 minute minimum. Unless owners have given permission for their dog to play with unfamiliar dogs, dogs are never in the same yard with another dog, unless they are boarders from the same household.

Inside Kennels
The inside of our kennels are swept and mopped everyday with cleaner and disinfectant.  Bedding is changed as needed and after every dog leaves.  Your dog will not be sleeping on unwashed bedding that another dog has used.  As you can see from the pictures, we have guillotine doors that lead to the outside runs.  If the weather is nice, we hook the doors open, so the dogs can go in and out as needed.  If the weather gets hot enough to need the air conditioning turned on or cold enough to need the furnace turned on, we close the doors and let the dogs out to use the bathroom periodically throughout the day.

There is a pallet in each run with bedding on top of it (*see exceptions below), so no dog sleeps directly on concrete, unless they choose to.
*When the weather is warmer, some dogs do not like to sleep on bedding, so bedding will not be provided for those dogs.  If a dog is tearing up and possibly eating the bedding, the bedding will be removed for the safety of the dog.  We don't want any bedding to cause an obstruction in a dog.

All of our standard inside kennel runs are 3 feet wide and 5 feet long.  Our giant runs are various sizes, but are all bigger than our standard runs.  We frequently board Great Danes, so our runs are big enough to handle any size dog comf
ortably.

Outside Kennels

Our outside kennel runs are scooped and sprayed out every morning. For the winter, we hang tarps around the outside of our kennel runs to block the wind and snow, so even when your dog goes outside, they are not being pounded by the cold elements.  It also keeps the inside kennel building warmer for the dogs by blocking the wind.

We have security runs everywhere.  If a run gate is accidentally left open, the dog will be trapped in a security run, so they cannot escape.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We understand that people who are boarding with us for the first time will expect to be able to see the kennel. We have no problem letting someone look into the kennel to see and smell that the kennel is clean and that their dog will be comfortable. However, please understand that we sometimes have first-time boarders, and dogs who have medical conditions (e.g. heart problems, epilepsy, Addison's), who will be upset and agitated by having unfamiliar people walking through the kennel. For that reason, and for your own safety, we ask that you please remain outside of the kennel and do not request to come in. The comfort and well-being of the pets in our care is of the utmost importance to us and we will do whatever it takes to ensure that. Please also keep in mind that we clean the kennels every morning, so if you visit us before noon, the kennels may not be completely clean by then. With that in mind, you may want to plan on a visit in the early afternoon.

Daycare and Training
We offer daycare with no temperament testing. We are able to do this because we have multiple fenced in yards where dogs that do not get along with others can still be out and run to their hearts content. We have many years experience with temperaments and pairing dogs with who they will get along with so we will be able to tell you whether or not there is a group your dog will fit into.

Our daycare price is $10 per dog per day. We can do a daycare package of $35 paid at the beginning of the week, this is non-refundable and gives you access to daycare Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8am to 6pm and Wednesday from 8am to 12pm. Most often daycare days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please take a look at hours to plan what daycare days you would like!

Our certified trainer on staff is Jennifer Conners. With her degree as a certified trainer and our 10+ years of experience with behavioral, agility, obedience, and rally training, we can help you with your dog! Please call or send us a message to talk about specific training as every dog is different. Our typical training package for obedience work/some behavioral issues is $15 per day for dogs under 9 months old and $20 per day for dogs over 9 months. This training would include dropping them off in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon before 6pm. They will get yard time and play time as we work with training throughout the day. Please call for specific details.
